QELO Quest
Several drivers collecting the same chargers on the QELO
network in Croatia, drawn as one shared map.
Each driver has a quest log of their own — their catches, their remaining
targets, their map — and this page is where those collections meet. Click
any name on the leaderboard for that driver's log.
What counts as caught
A single session of 5 minutes or longer
catches a charger for the driver who charged there, for good. Anything
shorter does not count — pulling in, plugging, and thinking better of it is
not a visit. A charger one driver has caught is still there to be caught by
everyone else.
Reading the map
Every pin is scaled by its catch count: how many different drivers
have caught it. The map is a frontier, not a trophy shelf, so the count
reads backwards from what you might expect — the more drivers have been
somewhere, the quieter it gets.
- Nobody yet — no driver
has caught this one. The loudest pins on the map, and the whole point of
it.
- Caught — at least one
driver has. The number in the pin is how many.
- Caught by more — pins
shrink and fade as the count rises towards
everyone.
- Locked — broken or under
construction, and drawn that way whatever its catch count: no amount of
driving will fix it. Its popup still reports who caught it before it
went.
Click any pin for its numbers. A charger whose coordinates are not known
yet is still counted in the totals along the top, but has no pin to
click.
How the leaderboard is ranked
By chargers caught, because that is the game. Drivers level on catches are
ordered by total energy, and level on both by their id — a fixed rule, so
the board never reshuffles between rebuilds for reasons nobody can see.
There is deliberately no average charging speed here, for anyone. One
frequently-passed charger would dominate such a figure, and a driver who
mostly charges AC would look slow at something they never competed in.
Totals of energy and time carry no such hidden weighting, so those are what
a row shows.
Where the data comes from
Sessions are logged by hand, one file per charge, from the charging app's
own figures; charger coordinates come from OpenStreetMap. The page is
built from those files into this one self-contained file — apart from the
map tiles and the map library, it calls nothing and tracks nothing.
